Parent Handbook

The 98-99 Parent Handbook was distributed to all third and fourth degree cadets in September to pass on to their parents. There were also 60 handbooks given to each squadron for those upperclass cadets who wanted them for their parents. If you didn’t get the handbook and would like one, Student Services will be happy to mail one to you. Just enclose a short request and include a large, self-addressed envelope (books are 6” x 8” - about 1/4” thick) with the correct postage attached to:

HQ USAFA/DFRL (Student Services)
2354 Fairchild Drive, Suite 1A60
USAFA, CO 80840-6210

The book weighs 3.4 ounces each, so you would need to check with your local post office to determine the amount of postage required to mail a book from Colorado Springs to your city.

‘99 Class Print

Has your cadet told you about the 1999 Class Print? Hall of Fame aviation artist Rick Broome is currently completing the official 1999 Class Painting. He created the first class painting over 25 years ago. Class Rings

Jostens, working with the Class of 2000, has produced one of the most distinctive, elegant, and striking ring designs in recent years. Ring brochures will be published and distributed to all cadets just prior to Thanksgiving and cadets and their families will have the Christmas holidays to make their choices. The class of 2000 will order their rings in January 1999. The AOG is pleased to have negotiated a contract that makes the rings 20% less expensive and includes other benefits such as a free synthetic stone, a donation for Ring Dance expenses, extended warranty and insurance, and an extended payment plan. The variety of ring options and payment plans should make a ring affordable for everyone. Because the Class Ring is the symbol of the common bond that all graduates share, we hope all of the class members will order one and wear it with pride.
