This is the 6th iteration of this web site and I think it is the best one. The gallerie is now featuring digital montages based on the photographic work of Elliot Madriss. The Giclee' prints combine many of Elliot's photo images of landscapes and common objects. This is all new work and I am very excited about the endless possibilities this new photographic direction has opened up for me. These images are created in Photoshop CS2, which I consider to be the alchemy of our age. In November 2002, I showed this new work at an exhibition at the Studios Gallery in Algodones, NM entitled, "Digital Vision", showing with such luminaries as Ursula Freer and Bomi Parakh. The exhibition was a big success! In November 2003, I showed my work at the Jemez Trading Co. Gallery in Jemez, NM.

Artist's Statement

In life, nothing is as it appears to be - just witness our human endeavors, historic or otherwise, and witness how Mother Nature operates! Lying just beneath the surface, like the petals of a flower blossoming, is a clearer image of the truth. Using the digital and graphic arts has allowed me to explore these hidden truths and in the process, create a bolder, more colorful artistic statement.

Photoshop has opened up exciting, new horizons and artistic landscapes for me. Before, I was a citizen of 3 dimensional space but now a 4th dimension has made its appearance known - the dimension of unlimited creative potential.

This is what digital photography and the digital arts have recently provided to this artist. This is indeed an exciting time to be a photographer. I encourage anyone reading these words to participate in the great revolution!

The photos exhibited here represent a sample of my digital photographic montages and more traditional landscapes from my journeys to New Jersey, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

Matting and Framing

Sizes vary from 8X10 to 11X14. All images are matted using acid free board and printed using the best materials available. Matt board color is gallery white. The images are also available framed. Prints are made using the Canon i9900 printer using archival inks and papers. Please call Elliot Madriss at (505) 833-3101 if any custom items are needed for your order - for example: matt/frame color, size, etc.

"Love Finds Everyone"  - This CD features Elliot's pop tunes, ballads and instrumentals. The songs are great and this collection highlights the title song.

"Old Stories" - This CD is a collection of instrumental songs Elliot wrote in the 80's and 90's. Many are very classically influenced.

"Cherish The Earth" - It is a children's album of original music in many styles that helps toeducate children on the environmental issues facing our troubled planet. This CD is perfect for children of all ages and their parents! Ordering info is the same as for any of this site's images.
